Minister's Message
New Beginnings….
Heart Notes From Rev. Meghan
"In the beginning God created…."
We are all instruments of God's creative power of love,
joy and abundance. I have experienced all that God is active in my life as
I was led into this relationship with the wonderful people of Unity Community
Church of Brea. I am grateful and blessed to have the opportunity to serve
this ministry and look forward to getting to know each and every one of you
in the coming days and months ahead.
As I begin my journey as your Spiritual Leader, I see us recognizing the creative
energy of this ministry by honoring where you have been, celebrating where
we are, and rejoicing in what we will become. I welcome my role as your Minister
to support, encourage, participate and experience this ministry becoming the
unlimited potential it is.
Myrtle Filmore, co-founder of Unity, wrote this poem, "My Faith" in 1897:
I do not believe in evil. I believe in Good.
I do not believe in sin. I believe in Truth.
I do not believe in want. I believe in abundance.
I do not believe in death. I believe in Life.
I do not believe in ignorance. I believe in Intelligence.
There are no discords in by being. Being is Peace.
My faith, understanding, and love are one.
"What therefore God hath joined together,
let not man put asunder."
I see "Mama" Myrtle's poem as a covenant to Unity Community Church of Brea.
When we hold a sacred commitment to the words underlined in her poem, we are
living into the creative flow of the universe, as instruments of God's living,
loving energy source. Myrtle recognized the Truth of what she wrote, and she
lived her life as an example of that Truth. This Truth is our blue print for
spiritual enfoldment.
Let us journey together, allowing the natural creative flow of God's Love
to work through this your ministry and within the heart of each and every
one of you. I celebrate with you in continuing your expression as a thriving,
spirit-filled ministry, loving hearts, honoring diversity, transforming lives
as a center for positive living. I joyfully join you on this path of enfoldment!
In Peace, Love and Joy,
Rev. Meghan
